Hi I'm Jane, I'm delighted you have visited me here in the heart of county Wexford as we step inside my studio. 

Originally working as a surface pattern designer for a local company in Perth, Western Australia where I grew up, I cut my teeth on selling work in London, Hong Kong and New York.

  

My background in Fine Art, Interior design and Textile design has led me down the path of creating my own children's art studio where I run art classes for kids 7 years and up, weekly art and creative classes and Kid's art camps along side my hand dye textile studio.

I am a big believer in encouraging everyone to live their most creative, fulfilling life. I urge children to continue with their curiosity and know pursuing art and creating is as important as reading, education and sport. The benefits are by far much greater than only the physical artwork.

 

As far as my own art practice is concerned,  I've always loved working with pure natural fabrics I dye from a range of plants in my garden, to food waste, to sustainably sourced natural dye. 

I try to keep my practice as close to zero waste as possible, using up every last offcut of fabric in my textile artworks. 

Here I create handmade products using Irish linen, organic cotton and vintage fabrics.
